Does anyone know of trading platforms that have very low latency trading capabilities, i.e., placing a trade within milliseconds and doing this continuously? Interested in any program no matter the cost. Also, does anyone the latency in trading times for TDAmeritrade and Charles Schwab?

It's not the platform that gives you the capability.

It's hardware and proximity to the exchange.

Latency is a network related delay.

That's good news because if you want to properly compete and have any chance of making a return you're going to have to spend millions as that's what your competition have and are continuing to spend. When it comes to that sort of trading, skill/knowledge is only a component, hardware and software are as important, if not more so.

So if I have level II quotes from NASDAQ and I am 3900 km away and I see a price at price at 12:00:00:00 do I get to buy at that price or if it takes a second to place the order am I buying at 12:00:01:00 price?

Well - if you hit that bid/offer before anyone else does & before it gets pulled, you'll be filled.

I think 1 second latency is pretty high. I'm in Thailand and I don't really notice a lot of slippage, I regularly enter by hitting the bid/offer.

Are you running an automated system? If not, I reckon you don't have too much to worry about. If you see an offer, then send a limit order across at that price. You'll either get filled or not.

Thanks for responding so promptly. Ameritrade doesn't seem, at least to my knowledge to offer Immediate or Cancel orders, do you know of any brokers that do?

try ORCs
get co located and t1 or leased line
get sh!t hot at c++

Do you have an account at Orc? What is their minimum investment and what trading volume do you maintain? I have a connection approximately 2x faster than T3. It sounds like they require super high bandwidth.

Orc is software not broker. Why dont you f*cking google it before asking benign questions?

Wouldn't that take a modicum of effort though?

Far easier to expectorate uncontrollably in the general direction of one’s inquiry and see what sticks to the windshield…
