HFT help?

I have been a Day Trader for over a year now and I absolutely love it. However, I have came up with the idea of compiling a system which can help me make the right decisions in the marketplace. A high frequency trading platform would be a great start, but since im not so educated in the are, can anyone tell me what program they would use to code the HFT program and what else would be needed. Thanks in advance.

How high frequency are you talking? Like within milliseconds? Or just a few seconds? Or minutes?

You could start with someone like TradeStation....their programming is quite easy and they have plenty of programmers to do whatever you would like.

yes pretty much milliseconds. Is TradeStation customizable and easy to use?

tradestation is NOT for HFT.
tradestation is good for "regular" technical based strategies.

if you want real HFT (i.e milliseconds -) you'd need to use the API of your choice and program the algo yourself.
there are many limitations and obstacles to overcome, it's not a task for a single-non programmer person.
