How can I plot 2 volumes ?

Hello,

I'm trying to compare volumes of 2 symbols. I add 2 symbols in same chart (overlay). How can I plot both volumes ?

I try this but it doesn't work. Only 1st volume comes up.

Plot1(Volume)
Plot2(Volume Data2);

There are a couple of ways of doing it. Once you have the 2 symbols in, click on each one in turn and insert the standard indicator called Volume. This will create 2 additional plots as shown in the bottom 2 plots on the attachment. If you click on these plots in turn and then use the right mouse a window opens up as shown and you can use the grey button "Base study on" to choose which symbol you want to base the volume on. You could also change the color and style to make it clearer. This is useful if you want to keep the vol plots separate, because for example they have very different sizes.

Alternatively you could create a new indicator (in my case test4) and enter the following easylanguage

Plot1(volume of data1);
Plot2(volume of data2);

This one gives the first volume plot where both symbol volume plots are superimposed on top of each other, Again click on the indicator plot, right mouse button and format the plot 1 and plot 2 lines with colours and styles as required.

If you choose this method then you can also hide the original symbol plots just leaving the volume plot (test4 on my example). To do this click on each of the symbol price plots and using right mouse choosing format, go to the scaling tab and click on the sub-graph option choosing "hidden"
