Might be a time-restricted demo. Or did you click reset?

Anyway, it's a demo account. Just carry on as you were. I mean if you made £16k as opposed to £20k, who really cares?

If you are serious about forward testing on a demo, then its a sensible precaution to keep an independant record, because MT is pretty unreliable. If you search around the forums, there are free utilities that can export the trade history to a file, which you can then import to a speadsheet or database. If you cant be arsed doing that then print off a statement once a week so at least you have a record.

Although its a pain in the **** it might be worth doing.

it was a brocotrader one.

pfft

o btw it says im not connected - is this the reason?!?!?!?!

o rofl, yes this was the problem - wasn't connected. a noob mistake. lock this up mods.

Have you tried O D L ?

Why would you want to trade dollar index or the euro index? If it is just for information on euro or usd, just use profiles in metatrader platform which have separate profiles for euro and usd .Just use the carts on profiles to see relative strength.

For trading euro index or dollar index, trading euro /usd is more liquid and has better volatility than the indexes.

That leaves you with oil and gold ,gold is a good instrument for fundamental trading , but useless for day trading.Very high spread and often illiquid.

O D T

Thanks oildaytrader,
Its purely for info I don't actually trade any of them.
But like to keep an eye on Gold and oil and the other two, to see if the Dollar is weak or euro strong etc.Its just easier if i can have 4 charts on a page fo a quick view
Help much appreciated, This is one of the best things about T2W there is always someone there to lend a hand.

The dollar and euro indexes are not available on O D L .

The alternative was to use the profiles .Go to file ,profiles and use charts to see the strength of euro and usd.

For usd set up the following euro/usd,gbp/usd,usd/yen,usd/cad,usd/chf and aud/usd.

For euro set up as per weightings

https://www.theice.com/productguide/ProductDetails.shtml?specId=133

or you can set up indexes using the following scripts and setting up profiles
