If your strategy does not require vast amounts of historical data then you can limit it by using Format > Symbol
In the screen that pops up you can specify the number of bars or date range you require for the data being loaded. You can save the required settings as the default for the symbol.
However bear in mind that when you do this for a radar window you may need to keep sufficient bars to perform any calculations showing in the window under the setting "load additional data for accumulative calculations"
I have Tradestation 8.2 + owndata 2.6 and DDE feeder, but i have a lot of problem with glitches because i can not delete it on TS. I delete it from owndata but does not update on TS.

Sumar, If you have many symbols all open at once in tradestation when you launch then i believe there is a concurrent request issue in IB. You can only request x number of symbols at a time. may be wrong but the issue sounds like something I dealt with before.
