Which laptop to buy for TA softwares ?

Hi

I am basically a mac user. Presently I am planning to go in for a separate laptop just for TA softwares. I will be buying Metastock and Omnitrader.

Currently I am thinking more in terms of a Dell Inspiron Mini 12 netbook, which has a basic 1 GB of RAM for this purpose.

Would this be enough for running this softwares or should I consider either a Dell studio or Lenovo with more RAM.

MY doubt was, does having more hopsepower (RAM) improve the perfomance of the software. What specifications should we be looking for when we pucrchase a laptop for this purpose ?

your using a mac , why use anything else since its a top performing system?

neither metastock nor omnitrader run on a mac

use parallels to load a virtual machine of windows on to run them. performance isnt an issue i use this setup
