I get directed to an MQL4 programming forum.

Now I do write a fair amount of MQL4. And when I have a question about MQL4, I have the wit to refer it to the MQL4 forum.

Now I have a question about the Metatrader platform.

Can anyone direct me to a forum containing anyone who is likely to a) know the answer and b) be bothered to help.

I notice a lot of posts with zero answers on your Metatrader section

forex-tsd.com is probably the most appropriate place to ask if you want a serious answer

metatrader also has its own forum, but its generally just posts from morons and ****wits

Many thanks. I did notice that about the Metatrader Forum. Useless.

Even the MQL4 forum is full to the brim with people who need to learn a language before having a chance with a programming language.

It strikes me as odd the number of folks who have the arrogance to think they can become a programmer overnight. What other trade is blighted with idiots like that I ask you.

Thats a good point, I once saw a frightening statistic that indicated that worldwide, around 15 or 20 times more people than actually qualify in an IT related subject actually enter the IT industry in some capacity each year.

There's no barrrier to entry really for MQL programmers, the platforms free, and theres no end of internet communities where stupidity is celebrated and encouraged

If the platform keeps crashing its often worth recompiling any existing indicators you may have had with the previous build with the latest build you are using, they claim they should be backward compatible, but in practice they often arent, MT does some strange and frightening things sometimes.
