Alerts based on Candlesticks...

Hi,

I am looking for something that will provide me with an alert to assist my form of trading rather than to monitor the charts all day. It is (I think anyway) very simplistic however I am struggling to find anything that will do what I'm after.

Basically - I am after software/a signal service or similar that will alert me once the BODY of a candlestick has formed above/below a certain price. I then want an alert for the opposite.

I.e. I want an alert when the body of a green one hour candle is above say 1.4300 on GBP/USD upon formation of a new candle. At this point I enter long on a trade. I then want an alert again once a red (downward) candlestick starts to form indicating that I should close the trade.

When I say upon formation, say the first 10 mins of a 1 hour candle.

I use mainly the MT4 platform but I'm open to use of other platforms/software.

You can program MT4 to do that, it is very flexible in that way.

in the past I did something like that with Metastock with eSignal feed. You can get plug-ins for Metastock for candlestick pattern recognition but I programmed those myself.

Tradestation Easylanguage can do that also. NinjaTrader is also a good product for something like that.

Do you know how I would go about programming MT4 to do something like this?

Updata can do this and you dont need no programming, its a special option for alerts
