I have been using Supercharts for many years. Given that I can not upgrade the software unless I want to trade with Tradestation Securities, I decided to switch to Metastock. I am wondering if anyone has any opinion/recomendations about end-of-day trading platforms. MS seems to have some significant deficiencies in file management (extremely difficult to scroll through a number of securities and save your work under different templates, you can't create composite securities (averages of a number of securities with different weights, etc). I like many of their features, especially their live support and ability to ask them to program formulas for my. Neverthless, MS doesn't seem to be a very robust platform. Is MS the best I can get being too spoiled by the Tradestation platform? Is there a better platform out there. Any feedback appreciated,

I've actually used MS, particuarlly the EOD version, for 10+ years with no complaints. You can definitely create composite securities, so I'm not sure where you're getting your information from. Don't know about the file management and template issues. I personally don't have any problems there, but then I likely don't do the same things you do, so who's to say.
