This idea comes from another forum. Its interesting to see how people setup for trading.
I trade two index futures for three or four hours a day. My layout is simple and I trade on the chart. The other screen has excel, tws, and onenote for record keeping. Mirc for chat and firefox for browsing.
One screen for trading. Normally just the two main charts. Open the small time frame charts for trade entry/management (trade on the charts). Also have minimized a couple of much longer time frame charts I only open a couple of times a day to remind myself of the big picture. Been trading pretty much this layout for the last three years but have changed traded contracts in that time.
Microtrend trader: 5-20 minutes.
