Hi guys
I'm new to trading and am taking my first steps after reading and researching for the last 4 months.
I am currently comparing Tradestation 8.3 and QuoteTracker (With IQfeed and possibly tradeideas).

Tradestation seems to offer some really cool features (RT Data, Backtesting, Programmable trading, Simulated Trading) along with very reasonable commision charges.

I am currently using QuoteTracker with IQfeed for paper trading.

I have read some bad stuff about TS on the net (Bad Customer support, laggy RT data) but alot of this seems to have been years ago. Are they much better now?
Is this the best solution for a "Noob"?

I plan to trade US Stocks.

Thanks for any advice :)

If you do not need the backtesting and real-time system trading then QT with a real-time feed is a good choice for starters.

But for most people IMO you are probably trying to compare two different things.

Thanks Ron
I certainly feel the backtesting feature would be a handy tool to start off with and with the cheaper commisions (cheaper than Ameritrade). I can trade smaller amounts to build my knowledge and confidence up.

You can try Youtube . Also, they have a good manual that is downloaded with the software and there is a couple of online forums where you can ask questions.
