Hiya. Excel help needed.

If cell A1 and A2 and A3 are all greater than 14000 then "message". I think its some sort of IF statement?? Note I am not referring to the SUM of the cells. Excel newbie here. More questions to follow.

thx

Thx Gamma.
Also, just wondering. Is it possible to combine two formulas into one?? E.G
=IF(AND(A1>14000,A2>14000,A3>14000),"Hello","")

aswell as something like:

=IF(SUM(A1:A3)>40000, "Candles is a computer moron", "")

You can do a huge amount by using a combination of the IF statement as well as the AND and OR conditions. When you say you want to combine two IF statements, it depends on the exact result that you are looking for, as to what format the test will need to take.

I would recommend that you go into the Excel help menu and search for each of IF, AND, OR. You will see examples of how to use them. That might give you the answer you are looking for.

Me again. I hope my previous post did not sound to much like "go and read the manual". But my suggestion arose because I was just about to type some examples for you and realised that it's probably all there in the help system. See how you get on with it.
