New one started from today... it looks prettier, but can't see anything actually *different* about it, although I haven't really been playing around with it much.

No idea myself apart from my spreadsheets have all been transfered from days ago and when I tried to transfer the newer ones it took too long so I went back to the old version. One difference I see is that Reuters messenger is now packaged with it.
Otherwise..I guess only time will show us.

I thought Reuters messenger was already embedded in the old one. I'm sure my old one had it.

Only have Bloomberg at the moment and I'm not thrilled at all with it - hoping to address that in the new year.

It was, but you had to click some kind of thing like windows messenger, the new one wants you to logon when you open up Reuters... I don't even know what my messenger account is or if I even have one tbh.

I use the hosted terminal access, so you can login to it from any PC that will allow you to install a Citrix client, I think that'd be the same as using the companion?

I'm currently trying to choose between Bloomberg or Reuters. Primary focus on latest news, analytics and market data. I mainly trade Spreads and CFD's and will look to take on Futures in the near future.
Any feedback on which is the more appropriate system would be welcome.

If I was a fresh-faced young thing starting from scratch, I'd probably go for the orange one for its functionality and higher data quality (in equities at least). But as an old dog I'm past learning new tricks and will stick with Reuters.

Thanks GammaJammer. Obviously this business is all about getting an Edge but the costs have to add up. A Bloomberg terminal is now USD1,800 per month, plus Exchange Fees and a 2yr fixed contract. Just waiting on a Reuters quote.
