Hi

Anyone with experience using CQG ?

I am looking to use CQG for charts !

Does anyone know of a trial with data for a week or 2 !

I need to give CQG a test drive before I decide to go with them.

Do you know of any trial offers that include CQG charts and data ?

Do I need to get the data separate or what ?

What is a good data provider to use with CQG ?

Thanks
I want to use x-trader for dome

I had CQG for awhile and they are superb !

They have an office in Frankfurt where I just went and asked for a test drive which I received, meaning everything is always negotiable.

Data and -feed is included, ie absolutely NO nasty messing around with importing / managing data or other nonsense like that, which is heaven for a non-techie like me.

Can wholeheartedly recommend them as one of the very best chart providers out there with a very intuitive and simple user interface.

CQG is its own data provider, so with the product you get the charts and data in one package. Also CQG offers the trading capability now as well to all major futures exchanges. All within a single product.

I use CQG, if you're still interested in a trial I believe they offer a month free. Send me a PM and I'll send you the contact details of our rep.

Is there any chance to use CQG data feed separately from their charting?

I like their CQG trader and it is quite affordable in price but the whole integrated client is overkill for me. I'd like to buy CQG trader and then use (if possible) their own feed to draw simple charts.

Max,

Use CQG Trader and a second cheap feed for charts, T&S, etc, eg VisualCharts.

I keep that in mind yes. Thank you

Just wanted to explore other options (it can add some comfort if you use same data feed for charts as for order execution). It also supposed to waste less network bandwidth and that could be a serious bonus in certain situations.

Once I was running on my backup BT broadband (supposed to be 8 mbps) for two days.

It was completely blown off when I run XT with one DOM and one chart and CQG simulator with one DOM opened. I had to switch between...

Maxima,

I believe that you can buy the CQG API which allows you to extract the data. (Normally into Excel).

Max,

No problem re bandwith with Trader and separate charting/data feed on Virgin 8mb.

Rich,

CQG's API is only available via Integrated Client and is not cheap (forgot the cost).
