looking for a site which offers good point and figure charts. Does anybody know if any stockbrokers offer these charts. Also what do traders think of sharescope or updata regarding these charts and the prices they charge.

Also looking for a cfd provider which offer direct access. what is GNI TOUCH like?

I can't comment on sharescope as I have not used it. Updata is probably the ultimate bells & whistles P & F .If you need it all is of course a separate and subjective question. If you don't then you might think their fees are also more than you need. you can trial it for free.

I went through a brief period of excitement with P+F until I found I couldn't make it pay, lol, but it does mean that I looked into some of these things. The free service of ADVFN offers P+F, but it did seem to throw up the occasional funny, wasn't very flexible, and I wouldn't have used it for real trading. Okay maybe for backtesting, etc. In the US http://stockcharts.com/charts is quite good for a free service. Sharescope offers a free demo so suggest you have a look yourself at whether it covers what you want, but I found it perfectly adequate when I used it for P+F. Updata is supposed to be the daddy, but I didn't try it because Sharescope would have fitted the bill for me and it seemed to offer bells and whistles I wouldn't use for more cost and complexity.

Hi ta tp,
Welcome to T2W!
I agree with chump, Updata is the Ferrari of P&F although Sharescope is fine for my purposes and, like the ad' on the homepage says, it's a brilliant programme and very good value for money. I can't comment on GNI, although their reputation is good.
Tim.
