I have a problem displaying indicators when I have Renko charts on.
Hopefully I have attached a chart.

Basically the indicators are made up of straight and curved lines and look awful.

It's not a problem, that's how it is! Renkos round off price moves into lumps, indicators will move in equally lumpy ways. Use any overbought/sold indicator on renkos to show proximity of reversal. Play with the settings to get the feel of that market, showing extreme exhaustion points, where renko reversals will carry more weight.

Must be just a Metastock problem then.

Xtick displays all indicators as normal.

Hi Martin

Do you use Renko to trade? I like the looks of it but just need a bit of practical direction that is useful in a real trading environment.

renko charts are handy for seeing important support and resistance levels, cut out the noise.

I like to use them now and again alongside the ordinary OHLC, would not base any trades of renko alone.

Yes, the MA's you plot in the chart will look more usual, indicators like stoch will have lumps, a bit like gravy.

I often use renkos as stop and reverse signals. It does take the thinking out of the equation!

swyper here from JA,how do i go about getting the renko chart on by meta trader.

thank

Martin, Renko charts are an indicator by themselves, a bit like P&F charts; you could design strategies to work with it along with, say, Candlesticks charts to pinpoint probalbes swings.
Just a suggestion.
Hope this helps.

It should, I suppose; I work only with daily data, but as long as the chart is refreshed, there is no reason why it shouldn't.
Speed wise, I guess that will depend on the power of your computer, but anything which works on an end-of-day basis should do the same intraday - I hope, otherwise you could scream at the m*****s from Equis with great justification!
