Turn off hedging in MT4

Hi,

I am hoping someone can help me please.

I would like to be able to open a position of, say 3 lots (or £3 a point), and close it in increments of 1 lot (or £1 a point) without opening 3 new opposing positions i.e. turn off the automatic hedging.

I'm not certain that this is possible and hence the reason for an array of scripts (e.g. for opening/closing multiple positions at once).

Many thanks in advance,

Mark

Fxcm claim to be able to close partial positions on their mt4 (maybe they've moded it). Otherwise you're right on the scripts (Update stops on FF is used by someone I know).

Thanks Hotch. Yeah I think you're right I just read it on their site. I will perhaps contact my broker to see if they offer the same option.

Scripts are such a fag, and all i'm interested in is one-click trading (which has to be done on MT4 via another add-on).

It seems crazy to be.

Hi Hotch,

Partial closes became available with the release of our new MT4 platform in December.

what's so hard about running a script or using an ea to close a percentage of a trade.

Cant get much simpler.

Hi Mark,

Right click on your open order and then select the lots you want to close in the volume box.

For example, if you have 3 lots running select 1 lot and then close. This will leave 2 lots still running.

Please note though that minimum lot sizes may apply to certain broker account types.
