This software seems to just manipulate what is already available in MT4, there does not seem to be any ratios such as K factor or Sharpe.

No, software allows you many features that are not enable in MT4. MT4's data - only history of transactions.
As about ways to evaluate portfolio - it's your own way to do it. There's no programs, which can do everything. It's not useful.
