Tradeguider Help please

Hi,
I'm new to using tradeguider and was wondering if there is a way to retain indicators on the chart when changing to another symbol. It seems that once I load a new symbol and get the Tradeguider indicators all set up the way I want to see them, if I then switch to a new symbol, the chart goes back to essentially a blank chart with none of the Tradeguider indicators I had just set up.

Am I missing setting something up in the program so that I can retain those settings from one symbol to the next?

I think that once you have put your indicators on a chart, they stay there. So if you open a new chart, the program does not have any customised settings untill you add them.

I'm not sure I understand your reply, so let me give you an example (I'm using EOD version):

I set up a chart of QCOM with all the VSA indicators and a MACD plot. If I then load a new symbol, say IBM, using the "Open Chart" button or the "Seach Box", this new chart of IBM does NOT have any of the VSA indicators or the MACD on it that were on the QCOM chart. I have this problem whether or not I have "Replace Chart" checked.

Is this how Tradeguider normally works, or do I have something setup wrong?

By the way, as a new Tradeguider user, I would be interested in any tips and suggestions you could give me regarding how to best trade using Tradeguider.

Hi Bmaltz

Its not in the documentation, but yes you can.

for example MACD - go to properties and click 'add to defaults'. (In the macd parameters box- click on macd icon to open this)

Then for each chart you open, click on defaults - (hammer and screwdriver icon) and macd will be applied to chart. You can add as many indicators as you wish.

As far as trading with Tradeguider, I have the vsa indicators plus H stops to time an entry, and find the trend clusters very useful for support and resistance areas. other than that, study the manual and read the charts!!
