Alternatives to Sharescope for EOD technical analysis

Question to all veterans:

What alternatives are out there other than SS EOD (which I now use) for solid charting? I am interested about UK stocks, indices, forex, bonds and commodities. Must not break the bank. Customer service should be good. Should be reasonably flexible with attention to detail. Should show intra-day prices and volumes...

I doubt you will find anything that comes close to Sharescope.
The only alternatives are www.esignal.com and www.Sierrachart.com, but for what you want - it would cost a lot more.

I would like to export forex data from SS to do analysis (after converting to metastock format) in another package. I am doing this already with stocks.

I cannot do this with forex because SS do not provide "EPIC" code for forex data.
Is there a trick that I can use to overcome this.

You can do it, but it's a fiddle (others may have a better way)...
export singly from Sharescope - it won't export multiple tickers that don't have epics, but you can select each in turn and export them singly. You can then either convert via the downloader or similar, or use Excel's data import tool to load the data in (set the date column to read in as text to avoid having dates like 000104 turned into '104') you can then add a new column 1, type an epic of your own devising in (EURUSD for example) and just copy it to fill the column... now save as csv and you're done.

A fiddle, as I said though - I think you'd get bored very quickly with this...

I like sharescope but there are no american fundamentals.

By the way what is EOD?
