Hi
Q1. If any of you have used the above package please could you let me know what combination of smart-phone and operating system you use?

Q2. Any idea what data rates (e.g. MB per day) you have for a given list list of securities and chart timeframe?

I have tried asking ProRealTime themselves but they haven't been forthcoming.

Many thanks
Duncan

Hi, thanks, not quite what I had in mind but very interesting all the same!

- does anyone else have any experience of trying PRT from an iphone/blackberry/HTC etc etc?

Hi Duncan !

I've just ordered a new smartphone that is being delivered tomorrow.

I'm also keen to see how ProRealTime looks on the smartphone platform, so I'll let you know how it goes !

ProRealTime Mobile on new HTC Touch 2 smartphone

Hi Duncan !

I've just got ProRealTime going on my new HTC Touch 2 smartphone, which is a Windows Mobile-based phone.

It does work, but since the screen is only QVGA, it's really too small to do anything useful with. I'd kinda been looking forward to using ProRealTrend on my phone, but screen real estate isn't nearly enough to do much with.

The screenshots of ProRealTime Mobile on their website certainly imply that you can some neat stuff with the mobile version, including ProRealTrend it looks like, but make sure you get a large enough screen size to make it work would be my advice.

Not sure if these comments are helpful or not, but that's my feedback so far. Will let you know if I make any dazzling new insights ...

Best regards, Paul

Hi Paul
Thanks, so - I've also now managed to try it on a friend's iphone so my initial list is as follows:

IOS 3 - yes
Windows 6.5 - yes

... and somewhat subjectively:
3.5" screen, 320x480 - ok for one small chart
2.8" screen, (320x240?) - too small

Anyone tried it out on Android or Symbian?
