I trade momentum (mostly) US stocks but have always tried to master futures.I'll use this to mention any futures trades that I take on.I usually trade from a 5 minute chart and outside US hours it's ftse/dax.
That wasn't meant to be a put off.With futures you have to be able to read volume or you're going to lose all your money.Once a liquid stock starts to trend it will tend to do so in a less 'bitty' manner.Pick some good indicators and get a pragmatic scan and go for it.
Nice pair today in EUR.Too thin for ftse really.the DOM pair opens up and plays havoc with indicators (and I lack the concentration to just trade off DOM).

i trade futures with a half hour market profile hand chart it makes a pennant shape on paper with the value area being the point on the pennant when the market rallies or dives it seems to run to those previous points for day trading it continues back to that point
