Hey guys,

Just thought I should post my trades on this forum as I seek to grow a minimum of $2,000 to $50,000 with 10 trades or less. But if I fail to do so, I'll like to see how fast it will take to blow out the account..

My game plan is outright purchase of Call or Put Options as the case may be, with a risk of 25% per trade. That's on the high side for an account, but one has got to bear some risk.

BTW: Please, don't be fooled by my handle. I am not an expert on trading, just trying my luck and trading acumen in the market!

Your approach is gambling not trading. Learn about the gambler's ruin theorem.

Take it easy, wo/man!

What chance do you think a trader with a maximum of $2,000.00 have in the market place? Do you know anyone who can take a shot at the market with such capital outlay? And if you answer in the positive, would you call the trader's approach gambling or trading?

In your investment vocabulary, could you tell me what qualifies as trading; and how much capital do you think an investor need for his approach to qualify as "trading?"

Some of my students start with less. Some start with a lot more. It's all about having an edge and compounding your returns.

You have not disclosed an edge if you have one. High risk, high gain, low probability of success is no edge in my experience.

Hey folks,

I just created an album on this site as I intend to upload charts, positions, and whatever else is necessary to documents my trades!

Account balance: $2.063.74

What chance do I have; any?

Oh, whoa! So you train newbies? I didn't know that...I seriously need help to get the hang of this trading business. Will holla at you as time progresses!

An edge? Oh well, I don't know what "edge" is, but in any case, I intend to risk 25% of the total capital per trade. Nothing more, nothing less!

An edge? Oh well, I don't know what "edge" is,

An edge is an advantage that lowers your risk.
  1. Experience - Many develop a feel for the market in general or specific trading instruments in particular and are able to trade successfully with their gut instincts. This takes lots of time and lots of mistakes before the edge kicks in.
  2. Technical Analysis - works for many traders.
  3. Insider Information - mostly illegal in the US
  4. Irreversible Processes - I trade credit spreads with the goal of forming Iron Condors. One of the components of my edge is that time continues forward and the time value of the options I've sold must necessarily decay. There are other considerations to successful credit spread trading, but time decay is it's essential driving force.

Why do you have a 'trading system vendor' badge?

Wow! Thank you so much for the lesson! I will suck it in and watch my steps as I post trades on this board!

Oh! Where is that? I came across a question about trading vendor, I simply checked one! Didn't know it would show up on the site.

Admin/Moderator" Please get rid of the badge, and tag me a Learner!

That's an unusual mistake to make.

Some stocks are setting up. I should get a trade going soon...

Will like to change the topic to "Options Trades - (2K to 50K)"

Stay tuned!

Sorry, what is the objective of this thread, to see if you get lucky very quickly? Why not just bet on a horse race or something?

He's a vendor, he's going to post some great (fake) results and then try to sell his signals or software. The usual thing really.
