I'm here to try to make some funds trading with a 10 point stop. It better continue to work. I trade the EU using 2 brilliant methods of my own design, although, the idea behind them, I pilfered from someone somewhere on the internet (i dont know who). I will continue to say that I am a good trader until I believe it, and can also see the result in my account, at that point you will also be allowed to call me a good trader.

I trade from 2a.m. EST to 10a.m. EST, with a two hour break for breakfast from 6a.m EST to 8a.m EST.

Why am I posting here? To remind myself that I am good enough to post here.
What is your role as a reader? To remind me to continue posting, and using the same method through the good times and bad times. (A difficult task I know but you're up to it!)

At the end of the week, I will post a graph of how trading went so you can be sure I wasn't cheating. Also, I promise not to be lazy and sleep when I should be trading.

My account has seen much better day's and currently reads $274.55 so i'll be risking just under 1% per trade with my 2 micro lots.

up on time.
trade 1. I saw a break of tiny term resistance at 1.2992. The market pulled back to the level which coincided with 50% pull back and I got the entry point at 1.2995. it didn't hold and traded down into the previous trading range. 3:54 - 3:58 a.m. EST
loss 0.72%

Did you get in on the break of tiny term support at 12984? Keep going Shik :)

nope i waited for a pull back to it, but there was an engulfing bull candle, on top of the 3 GBP FA's at 4:30 so I let that one pass.

What spread are you paying? 10 tick stops sounds doomed for disaster if you're price taker...

Do you have a 12 course breakfast or something? 2 hours!?

well breakfast is the most important meal of the day. lol.
I also take a small nap since i haven't built a good habit of going to bed early.

Second trade on at 1.2992 after break and pullback to the range. Entry was at 9:33 EST but the market has pushed on into the range. down 1.5%

1st trade was a long on the break of 1.2995. Entered at 3:06 EST and got an entry at 1.3006. The entry was 2 pips worse than expected so i kept the target at 15. Good trade 1.1% gain

The goal is to make 10 to 15 pips on the continuation of a move.

In other words, with a 2 pip spread, you need a 12 pip move to win, an 8 pip move to lose, for the same win/loss.

IE 60%:40%

Those are impossible odds, sorry.

when u put it that way it does seem statistically improbable, but i wouldn't say impossible.

i guess i could target 20 on the move which would mean 73% : 27% with 2:1 r/r factor. problem with that would be I cant move to BE after 6 in the money which is what i normally do.

I apologize readers. I did not take the second trade that I was supposed to today because I lost focus and I was trolling the internet and reading naruto's manga. I will try to apply better discipline and focus.

How do you guys survive every day being your own boss?

last trade was a loss. short at 10:00 on big bear candle using my secondary entry strat. I forgot that news was coming out and had not written it down since I was supposed to be done before the news. My mistake. So first profitable day of the journal is over. I made a couple of mistakes on 2 long signals that weren't taken, but I take that and see if I can do better tomorrow. A .3% gain

large slip today. I decided to use 20 pt stops and took 2 almost setups (revenge for yesterday). had one win 15 pips and two losses 20 each. so I'm down 1.8% more this week. The train is back on the tracks to complete the rest of the day. Hey nobody's perfect.

I was quite complacent today. I went to sleep at 11:30 and when i got up at 2:00 I was alert for only 2 hours. during that time i did not take any trade, thereby avoiding one loss. I went back to sleep at 5:30 and slept till 10. I did not take advantage of the opportunities that were available today. I will go to bed at 8:00 p.m.

Recovery day. I am back on track with the trading and took 4 entries today. 2 full targets, 2 break evens and 1 loser. Overall a gain of 1.2% despite lots of wasted pips. I feel good about especially after the fear and complacency that set in yesterday. I think i should have started going to bed earlier a long time ago. Hoping for more of the same be back tomorrow.

Hopefully the sacrifice of TV time will be just what i need to turn around this account. Total loss since journal start 0.3%

Today, on the last trading day of the week, the first trade was winner. I, unfortunately, closed it early out of fear of a break even stop after it reached 9 pips and turned back, resulting in a paltry 3 pip gain. I didn't get disillusioned though and took the next setup for a full 15 pips. I became too overjoyed and the fear set in. I ignored 3 other opportunities to go long all of which would have been good, however, all's well that ends well.

I deserve a pat on the back for going to bed by 8:30 and not watching american chopper. I also stayed awake and alert my entire trading session.Wat a good job, I hope everyone is doing as well as or better than me! I finished up 1.3%
