Prop Trading

Hi everyone at T2W! I am TB and am looking to know if anyone here has ever taken a Math test before entering a prop firm? If so, did you pass or fail? Does failing mean you don't get the job? Explain. Thanks!

If it is a test given to all applicants, I doubt it was designed in order to find and employ people who fail it.

TB - where did you end up? I saw you got the/a job per your posts on ET.. presumably the maths was a doddle?

Thanks for asking.. Yes, I got the job at the prop! I'm pretty excited however I do want to be more aware of what exactly I'm getting into there..

how quick at maths you are has virtually no relevance to trading at all unless you are working in options perhaps where there are a lot of mathmatical models. I have no idea why firms insist on putting people through these tests. So if you do fail any maths test dont think this is an indication you arent cut out for trading.
