FHF Futures
Ok the name derives from a place close to Luton ( dont remember exactly). They are new, i think they r part of Refco, proprietary of course, no money no honey for the first 6 months where u ll be in a simulated trading environment, mostly young guys, quite easy and straightforward interview with a couple of questions regarding the market, y trading , whats ur favourite joke and things like that. Be sure to know all the interest rates and indeces. Didnt say much about the company. Bottom line; from my point of view from all the trading firms i ve interviewed they r the most friendly and straight to the point.No numerical tests, no iq tests, no excel tests. So as u can see they are looking for "normal" persons. More news after the second interview( if i pass the first).

They r based in Refco offices in London, and they trade everything.
As for Transmarket I saw a post in efinancialcareers for a clerk/trading assistant. The position is very good, perfect environment, new offices, ( the office setup differs completely from other UK trading firms). Btw do u know anything about Shaolin Futures?

No havent heard yet from fhf. U had an interview there? Actually I didnt go that well cause I had another interview 1 hour before fhf. So as u can understand they only thing I answerred correctly was "whats your favourite joke". Thats why I was asking for someone that has already been there. Btw do u know what shadowing?

I didn't apply to FHF as I knew little about them. Get a little sceptical about some of these companies...the way they train and treat newbies, pay, how big banks view work experience there etc. So when there isn't much info on them I tend not to apply...prob quite silly really seeing as I haven't secured a job yet!
Group interview for shaolin is a bit strange, prob want to see how you interact with others, whether you are a leader or one of the ones that just sits back and lets others take over...and its less time consuming and costly for them!

Thats true man! Dont worry though; Things have their way for sure after some time. In my point of view is that if u want smth pretty much and if u r chasing it u ll find what u want at the end. So good luck to u man , good luck to me and maybe one day we ll trade together. lol

Shaolin have a group interview similar to the interview process in the movie BoilerRoom - to get you all pumped up about making millions as a trader. They outline how their trading system will enable you all to be consistent traders overnight. I would be very skeptical. Transmarket is host to some very skiller, very succesful traders. Very difficult to get in there - they usually only hire guys with experience so if you can get in as Clerk/Trading Asst, more power to you.
