Cumulative Delta volume

Hi tradingbug,
Welcome to T2W!
In answer to your question, yes - I do - and I like it a lot. However, I'm new to it and have only been working with it for little over a month, so I still have lots to learn. That said, I'm excited by its possibilities and it certainly seems to provide another window on price action that I've been largely unaware of until now. For anyone who trades futures and wants to harness the information contained in T&S, but can't handle figures flashing past at high speed, then cumulative delta is well worth investigating.

One thing worth pointing out to anyone who's interested in it is that it's essential to have pure, unbundled tick-by-tick data, as well as the appropriate charting software. For the former I use DTN.IQ and the latter I use Investor RT. It's a combo' that works very well.

There aren't many threads that discuss it in any detail here on T2W that I'm aware of, which surprises me a little given its potential. However, this recent article with Chris Koozekanini of the Fulcrum Trader group provides some insights.

Hey Tim....thanks for welcoming me to T2W.

I have been watching and studying cumulative volume delta now for about a year. It has really helped my profitability increase in a dynamic way. I agree that CD is very helpful in reading the tape instead of watching the T and S all day.

I recently joined this forum and tried doing a search on CD but found there was not much information available out there. I think most people dont want to put in the work to study cumulative delta or the study of volume. I always like looking specifically at all volume studies. Most newbie traders would rather chase squiggly indicators around all day and price only based indicators(ive been there myself). Thats fine with me as there is a reason why there is a 90 % failure rate. The other 10% are cleaning up(y)

I actually am very familiar with FulcrumTrader Group and like what they teach. I have also looked at market delta but all those #s make me go crazy. Cumulative Volume delta gives me a much better visual in my opinion. Besides the fulcumtrader.com, are there any other sites that focus on cumulative delta? I have done searches online and couldnt really come up with anything.
