This is a triple expontial moving average. Used for smoothing I think. I havent really used it but from what I see when its added as an indicator it seems to act like RSI. When its a very low reading the market may be ready for a reversal and vice versa when the market has been in an uptrend.

just another trend type indicator.
like macd etc, it all depends on the parameters you choose.
quite good at picking lows but tends to top out to early for sell signals.
