find out what type of indicator and the underlying mathematics which comprises its formula.
it's uses will be apparent when you understand how and why it was made, but this does not necessarily mean that it will work as intended or even that the way someone else is using it will yield the same effect for you.
you have to study, learn and implement for yourself.
if you want my opinion, dont bother with it. but ultimately this may not help you either.
