I am trying to create a chart for the Price Earning Ratio for the FTSE 100 Index and would like to go back as far the tech bubble the year 2000.

I understand the PE ratio was approximately 24 at that time, probably the highest in recent records
Can any one please tell me where I can get this information from. I would like to make a chart with the PE at the end of each month since then, for instance, the PE for 31/3/06 was 12.94.

The reason behind this is to compare the index now with the 2000 bubble, because at that time it was obvious the market was over sold with a PE of 24.

Hoping some one will oblige.
