I've been trading UK CFD's via GNI for a good few years now. I do a reasonable but not excessive volume but I think my com rate could be improved, they won't budge though! The touch platform is getting quite dated now as well.

Are there any good DMA deals out there at the moment? Preferebly with a decent platform.

Thanks

Look at via-trader.com, might suit you or read this site(t2w) about Interactive Brokers direct access facilities.

And use the "SEARCH" facility on this site ;)

Thanks for the links Neil. I wasn't aware IB did UK CFDS, I'll check them out.

I've done plenty of searching on the boards and calling round but I keep coming across the big 3 providors, who are all fairly similar rate wise. I was perhaps hoping someone on here had found a gem of a deal somehwere else!

Eye of the storm...I have recently started using a new company who offer all the Gni type stuff but with what I believe to be a superior platform, much better rates and best of all,no minimum ticket..they have a transparent sliding scale based on monthly volume and lowish intraday margins accross most of the ftse stuff..seems to me that the playing field is getting a bit more level as the years go by and that us semi pro'retail traders' are in with a bit more of a fighting chance if we can get similar rates to the institutions[I grouped together with a few other active traders and got a very attractive rate which probably isn't too far away from what some of the big boys are paying]..wish you well on your search for a good deal ,perhaps drop me a line if you are interested in finding out more about what I'm paying

Not much interest in CFD's on this board, anyone else?

I use ODL Securities for cfd's and find them great - they have a good platform with Mybroker (used to be the bridge data platform) - but I use the telephone service as our firewall is profit resistant

There doesn't seem to be that many people trading CFD's (at least on T2W). I've asked similar questions before and the replies are few and far between. Maybe explains why the market hasn't been that price competative upto now (unless you are doing serious volume).

RAMSAY BLUE: What's the name of the co you're using.....wouldn't mind seeing their sliding rates scales.

I have traded CFDs for years but no much in the last year or so.. simply because the market has been going up and I am not really a day trader, CFDs are good for short term trades and better if you are shorting because of the interest involved.

Tuffty..rates are as follows:-
1-2 million per month 9 basis points
2-5 mil 6 bp's
5-10 5 bp's
10-20 4 bp's
20 plus 3.5 bp's

Have a look at this website I have recently opened an account through these guys and I am very pleased with the package I received. The trading platform is first rate also. Click on the link Trading platform and you can down load some clips to give you an idea how it works .
