Hi guys,

Just wondered if anyone could recommend any TS programming experts. I need some indicators for use in Radar & Scanner and have decided that to pay is going to fast track my learning. Anyone had any good experiences with vendors that they'd like to recommend?

I have done a bunch of stuff for members on here which has been mostly a positive experience, although the last guy I helped did go mental and sent me threatening emails because the software he'd paid someone else for was actually something widely available and free. When I helped him 'liberate' the code and sent it back to him, he accused me of stealing his code and called me a liar, cheat, wife beater etc.

On the other hand, a lot of stuff takes 20 minutes to write (in fact, I sent a trader from here a radar/chart package last night that took about 20 mins) and for that I wouldn't charge you....

.... this is of course on the understanding that you are mentally stable and won't boil any of my pets like the last guy.

I suggest that before doing work like this in future you get them to agree to a set T&C that basically says that they agree to the fact that:

1) The code may already be in the Public Domain and if it is they still agree to pay

2) That as part of your service you are unable to avoid seeing what the code does and that they accept this as part of the service and because of this no future claims can be made that you have pirated or stolen intellectual property.

3) No guarantee is made that the code will give profitable results and that it is coded based on your best understanding of what their requirements were at the time of agreeing to do the work.

I think the guy was just a bit of a nutjob. Actually, I KNOW the guy was a total nutjob.

I think my best 'out' is to only help out non-nutters in the future. Perhaps ask for a psych eval before helping someone out.

Haha, I'm not sure many people on here would pass. You'd be akin to the starving artist!

People really are unbelievable with their ungrateful attitudes. I see it more and more nowdays which is becoming the norm especially in the UK.
