AOL- Carphone Warehouse - Dunstone Group

a very timely post 0007, a family member was about to go with a talktalk package, I will warn them off. I think the post office do a very similar package, and will tell them to go with that, and not touch tt with a barge pole now i know they are connected companies :-0

I had the same issues with aol in the mid to late 90's, the only difference was i cancelled my direct debit at the same time as cancelling aol, their scam still prevails though as the "unpaid subscriptions" racked up, they then sold the "debt" on to a debt collection agency who were the ones to lose out on this occasion i guess. aol still got some money on a false pretext, the scammy gits.

what i can't get my head around is that over a decade later, they still seem to be operating in such a dodgy way, their sharp practices def need highlighting.

My connection was magically fixed after I asked them to send out written confirmation of my complaints and said "trading standards said I have to give you one more chance to fix the problem". ;)
