Writing a data file

I read on the site a couple of days ago a post someone had put up regarding creating a program or something that would automatically copy my MyTrack data to my IB data file (giving me backfill capabilities), but now I cant find said thread to contact the author!

Can anyone tell me how I might go about writing this file, and exactly what I need to do to it? Programming is not exactly my strong point but I'm not a dufus either. Either that, or point me in the direction of the original thread?

Cheers for any help you can offer,
