Can anyone help?

I'm on my Holidays to France for 3 weeks, but don't want to be away from the markets for that time.

I've looked into mobile broadband - with 3G you can get it for a tenner a month. But I'm told that If I use it abroad I'll get roaming charges and could run up a big bill.

Is there a way I can get mobile broadband abroad for a fixed fee?

If I pay roaming charges, how much should I expecty to pay for an hour of connection?

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers,
UTB

Don't know of any fixed price data roaming deals and i would warn you to be very careful about using a data card when roaming as it can be incredibly expensive. Read a story recently about a guy that used his Vodafone data card to watch a few hours of programmes on BBC iPlayer and came home to a £13k bill.

If you have a data card or 3G phone you would be much better off making sure it's unlocked then sourcing a Pay As You Go sim locally. This way you will pay reasonable data rates.
