I have to replace the rechargeable batteries for my Hama headphones.

They are AAA 1.2 volt 300mAh but I can only get AAA 1.2 volt 700mAH

Will the latter be OK, or will they damage something?

Should be OK. It's the voltage that counts. The mAh is effectively the amount of energy stored in the battery eg

300mAh can supply a current of 100 milli amps for three hours or 300milliamps for one hour.

700 mAH can supply a current of 100 milli amps for seven hours etc

The battery with higher mAh rating should last longer before recharge.

dcraig is right ... the more milliamp hours you can get the merrier.

Thanks, everyone, for the quick reply. Now I can listen to the BBC while Mrs Split has me doing the washing up.
