setting up e-mail accounts

hello all,

when setting up an e-mail account I am asked for the

Incoming mail pop3 or imap server and the Outgoing e-mail server smtp name what do I need to put in these boxes.

Whoever hosts your email account should be able to give you that information.
 
yes, as hoggums has said this normally comes from your ISP.

A BT customer, for example, would have the incoming (pop) set to be pop.btinternet.com, and the outgoing (smtp) to be smtp.btinternet.com.
