SmartSuite

Does anyone remember the bar of drawers that SmartSuite had?

In these drawers one could write reminders that could be enlarged to any size required and dragged onto the screen. Once there, they remained on top of everything else and were, especially, useful when booting the computer because they were the first thing on the screen to meet the eye and remained, always, on top unless erased or put back into the drawer.

MS has nothing like this, so far as I know, and I miss them. Since my kids use the computer, because of the internet connection, we could be sure that any messages from one to the other, would be read and , once read they could be erased.

Does anyone know of anything similar that could be downloaded, as a substitute?

I've had a look. Do you have experience with them? I'm a bit suspicious of viruses, etc.

In my book download.com is sound, always used them for the free stuff, shareware etc, never had a problem with catching any nasties off them, come to think of it in over 10 years of surfing only ever caught one nasty devil...that bu&&er switched off both the firewall and the antivirus and broadcast my address to the world...oh dear
