Anyone tried IG Markets' terminal on a Mac?

I trade fx at IG Markets and use their Java-based terminal on my Macintosh. As I can see, the applet they offer is quite a heavy one, so from time to time there are some delays when, say, I'm trying to issue an order. But it's not actually the problem. The problem is that once and again all of a sudden the browser crashes completely. I asked their tech support but all they could advice was to clear JAR caches in Java plug-ins. You see, it's most inconvenient and I need a stable and reliable trading platform. Can anyone give a hint on what to do? Thanks.

Java apps in general are more stable when run outside the clunky browser environment using a dedicated standalone JVM. Whether that is possible with the IG software I don't know, but you could ask.

Standalone JVMs (or JREs) are available from java.sun.com and other places as free downloads.

JVM = Java Virtual Machine
JRE = Java Run-time Environment

Thank you, Mattybuoy, but their software cannot be run under a standalone JVM as it incorporates some other technologies such as HTML and JavaScript, as I learnt.
