Hi,

I am planning to purchase a PC from Dell, and plan not to use Windows on it.

Has anyone had the same (crazy) idea in the past? Am I entitled to a refund?

Any suggestion?

I think anyone that uses windows should get a refund or sue for stress.

Not many products sold in this world with more holes than swiss cheese

My sister recently bought a very good PC from an ebay store. £320 including delivery - XP home, 512mb DDR RAM (PC400), 80gb hard drive, 2300 sempron, DVDRW, DVDROM, floppy drive. One year RTB warranty and the company were able to customise the order after she won the item. We reckoned that she probably saved £150 on dell prices.

Try The Linux Emporium. Lenovo (company which bought IBM's PC division) machines at good prices without Windows, and with Ubuntu preinstalled and everything working out of the box.

For more info, see my post about Ubuntu
