Brothersoft.com. any good

I normally download freebie software from cnet.
But some of my google searches throw out brothersoft.com for freebies.

Are they any good? Are they legit?
Are there any other decent sites where you can get good, fair, virus-free, and trustable, reviewed stuff?

The context of my searches is seeking out freeware ebrochure design stuff.
Ideally, interactive pages, probably PDFs.

Try https://www.techsupportalert.com/ trustworthy. Good reviews and no bundled adaware stuff. The best freeware/review site on the internet imo. Well worth a good browse

to broaden this out, what's the general view as to websites, re: protocols, standards, designs, etc.

Are Wordpress and Joomla any good?
Are CSS and tableless designs the "in" thing?

To be perfectly frank, I am more "data" driven, so get flummoxed with design issues, since I concentrate more on ensuring the data is meaningful.

Whats a good design software package?
I am tending towards Adobe.

Dunno what they're like now but Brothersoft have been around for donkeys... I mean at least 13 years cos that's when I used to use their software... Long time in net land.
