Hi,
I'm looking for a way to trigger a loud alarm when a stock or index I'm trading hits particular prices. I don't want to sit and watch the screen all day, and I have limited funds. The 2 main indices I'm watching include the S&P500 and FTSE. (Actually the S&P trades when its bedtime here)

Appreciate if you could share setups you've used, or any ideas you may have. Thanks.

Hi

You can do this easily with interactive brokers or tradestation platforms.

Why do you want an alarm, can you not just place limit orders.

Hi
Unfortunately I cannot place limit orders as I'm trading options, and I need to figure out which strikes to trade, and the risk profile when the price hits, before I decide whether or not to enter a trade. So the easiest way for me is to program an alarm to wake me up or notify me when the price nears my target, so I can go do the discretionary part of my trading.

Thanks,
HL

esignal has audio and visual alerts you can set at or approaching key levels

options are in some ways fool's gold , hyped by the so called options seminars that are doing the rounds in asia at the moment .

most options are already fair priced by the time you notice it . and the costs ain't cheap either despite what the VS versions of the options world say .
