I've heard people use Camtasia, free for 30 days.
I use Camtasia.
After the 30 day free trial, I paid around about £250 (from memory) for the license and in my opinion it's an excellent programme.
You can choose exactly which screen / portion of the screen you want to capture. I'm sure you'd be able to do this with the free version. Give me a shout if you get stuck.

Why didn't you just keep setting up free accounts?
Or are they using IP's/hidden registry keys to prevent it?

I use http://www.totalrecorder.com/ does everything inc sound, BBC i-player etc etc. $54 - bargain.

Nope, nothing works. I tried everything. I think I even tried re-installing Windows!
It's a great programme anyway, I've got more that my £250's worth so I'm quite happy to have paid for it.

That's a bit worrying that you can't use it even after reinstalling the OS. Unless it's done by IP but there's a way around that too.
I think when it comes down to it, the faffing around you'd have to do every 30 days to keep the free trial going isn't really worth it to save yourself a couple of hundred quid.
And talking about trying to save money, I once downloaded a cracked version of Office. It completely screwed my entire hard drive ...
If a piece of software is decent, I'd rather get a legit version. Especially when a trading setup is involved. Last thing you want is for your system to start playing up when you're desperately trying to exit a position before NFP!

Well i'd not advocate formatting a PC every 30 days to get around using a trial
If it's a case of uninstall and remove registry key it might be worth it if you're not using it on a frequent basis. If it's something you regularly use and it's good it's charitable to buy it.The OS's/Programs are very dodgy to download, it's usually the key generators which cause the trouble with trojans/viruses in them.
Ideally, you shouldn't be using your trading computer for anything other than trading. It's too risky to start downloading things and using it for entertainment purposes.
