partition

My laptop is partitioned in drive C and D. Can I combine this into just one drive.? What is the advantage to partition like this. One drive accepts programme files and is full and other drive does not accept any programme files. Help much appreciated. Thanks

Whoa be careful ..... some stupid manufacturers put all their drivers/bios settings into the "D" drive. remove at your peril. Check with the manufacturer first......
