Is a public admission from a moderator good enough ? (as neither account now posts its claimed that this issue no longer a concern)

I know that you are a strong supporter of Grey1, but the fact remains that its hypocritical of the owner of this site to claim he's encouraging advisors (and indeed moderators and regular members) to police the issue of unbadged vendors, when he knowingly allows particular members to violate site guideines.

Moderators have stated that this issue has repeatedly been brought to his attention, and he refuses to deal with the situation. Thats hypocrisy. Grey1 is not the only unbadged vendor, we all know who they are, and why this situation is allowed to continue.

I'm just pointing out its hypocritical

not that I need to, its common knowledge

who is/was Grey1 as a multiple nick?

you say "we all know who they are", but I dont. Gossip isnt my concerns, so could someone please state it clearly.

Which moderator is willing to state such a thing?

it is true that grey1 had another nick, dr iraj.

I don't believe it to be an issue at all, that nick appears to have not been used since april 2001, its last use predates grey1's sign up date, it would be splitting an already split hair to make something out of this imo.

Seems a bit harsh to get onto someone for stopping their use of the name "Dr Iraj" considering the geopolitical climate so far this century...

If I'd registered on the site as "Gary Glitter" before his tendencies became known, would I too be castigated for changing my handle too ?

thats a non-issue.

the two nicks were not used concurrently. (??)

this is no different to asking to have their nicks changed (eg, Aaronmalins).

the other aspect is that grey1 is NOT a vendor, as far as I am aware. (this confusion may be due to jayjay21s hijacking of Grey1s work for profit).

still no evidence of double-standards for vendors.

I'm not a badged mod anymore, but I was involved in this saga. I'm sure Paul will answer you but I think you will find the answer lies more in the cck-up theory of life than in the conspiracy theory

As for any unbadged vendors. Simply report them - if they prove to be so then they will be badged as such.

as jon says, report vendor badge issues, there are improved resources now for dealing with this. we now shouldn't have to wait ages for a vendor to comply when requested, then wait for admin to stick one on them if they refuse, well that's the theory

Well - that's not strictly true.

Iraj enrolled JJ for that venture. Prior to that, I know of 1 other person that Iraj tried to enrol for the same venture.

It was all about Iraj getting something going for his son at the end of the day, a worthy endeavour indeed. It is in the execution of that endeavour that it went tits up.

As far as multinick, Grey1 was previously known as Dr Iraj - but that was back in the early days 2000/2001; as was previously pointed out they were not used at the same time - as far as I can recall after an extended absense he adopted the Grey1 username a year later and used it ever since (think he'd forgotten the previous login and wasn't fussed about having a different one). So no problems I can see there.

Re. the vendor status, I was unfortunately absent myself at the time this was previously discussed, so need to find out exactly what happened. But I know that the mods were not previously able to change vendor status themselves, having to refer this up the ladder, which would have prevented them from acting on any intended change of status. I'll review and reply shortly.

It was only the multinick issue I was questioning as the implication was that he was making posts under two different names concurrently (although I accept you didn't actually say that). As LM said he was known at Dr Iraj in 2001 but had not used that name since rejoining as Grey1.

I've discussed this matter with the mods, apparently they did intend to update Grey1's vendor status at the end of last year; but due to a failure on my part (due to absence) it was never actioned. So we've updated this now and will make sure the mods have the ability to change it themselves in future, hence I believe the matter is now closed.

You'd have to ask Iraj, this is something he mentioned in one of his seminars.

I can't remember if it was typed or audio as Paltalk has both.

Anyway - why wouldn't you do it ? I'd set my son up too if I could. In fact, I tried to get him a job at the local coal mine but they said that seven years old is too young.

Am I missing something here......but my understanding is that Grey1 is no longer active on T2W having stated that he no longer will be posting on either TT or the public section ever again.
