The home page reviews are all pretty recent, the oldest is about a month old. Of course the reviews section has been around a long time, so there are reviews going back several years. We make it clear when each review was posted, so I think members are smart enough to figure out more recent reviews hold more weight. We could update the scoring so that we weight more recent reviews, or simply remove old reviews after X years. For some things like brokers or software, which evolve over time it makes more sense.
