Why isn't this updated regularly in accordance with Sharky's explanation?

Furthermore, in future, we will maintain a thread that lists any bans that do occur, detailing the reasons why they were banned. This is to ensure there is utmost clarity and transparency over any such decision made.

I noticed that Majordutch has been banned but I don't know why. I understand that there are many spammers that are banned and we don't need to be informed about them, but when it comes to regulars I think an explanation is appropriate.

I remember you where once banned for "not being very helpful". You couldnt make it up.

MajorDutch was banned for posting pornographic images. He then re-registered under the names of pitscalper and then Futuresguy and when detected both names were again banned. There are so many bans issued mainly because of mult-nics and spam compared to when Sharky first set up this up that it would take an age to list them all and reasons why they are banned.

T2W is low on available moderators compared to the past and is also in the process of recruiting a Community Manager who would decide along with the Mods how to progress this issue into the future.

Personally, I am hoping that any new Community Manager is a trader as they would have a better understanding of trading and its related issues than some previous occupants of the role. I also don't need reminding of what happened in the past and hopefully we can learn from this and move forward.

If you don't mind me asking what is a community manager? Was there one previously?

Yes there has been more than one in the past and my understanding of the role is as follows but this is not exhaustive and other elements may be included especially as roles change with time and circumstance.

The previous role of Community Manager was responsible for supporting the Moderation team and making sure we had enough moderators, to actually do moderation, as and when needed and to help train new moderators. They also updated moderation policies and were on call to deal with any contentious issues that arose on the forums.

Thanks for the explanation...For a while I thought T2W had a new policy on discussing Pin bars.

If I ran t2w, anyone found dicussing pin bars would be placed in a burlap bag, and beaten with reeds. Repeat offenders would be beheaded.

Hard, but fair.

I went down to my local pin bar and ordered a highball. I was at a loss when the bartender stopped me after I drained my pocket. It must be the new trend.

was hoping to find BBB's mugshot with explanation as to why he got banned.
does anyone update this thread?

UPDATE:
Reason(s) why recent members were banned.
All banned members have been banned for reasons that banning usually occurs in these situations which includes actions taken that have been not conducive to being allowed to remain in good standing while at the same time failing to adhere to any rules in which the general tone creates a detriment to the forum, and subsequent to any paragraph that states otherwise as previously stated in a preceding rule.

Why? After reading some of his/her offensive junk I would not think that a valid excuse would be too difficult to find.

Wow Peter, nice turn of phrase there, I think I might include that in the constitution with your permission:)

Seriously, I quite like the idea of resurrecting this thread. I'm all for banning reasons being made transparent. It serves two purposes in my view, firstly it demonstrates fair play on our part and shows we have nothing to hide. Secondly, it will hopefully educate those likely to get banned in terms of their posting behaviour.

There are probably downsides too that will no doubt be pointed out to me.

I agree with Trader333 though, we certainly would not post explaining the volume stuff like multinics but I doubt most people would be interested in that anyway.

I recall he was less than pleasant to Lord Flasheart.

But to be honest, I tend to skim the verbiage, and just hunt out the numbers, ie, entry, risk, exit, etc.
I tend to zone out the garbage.
