I would like some people views if they feel this forum has everything you need to become a consistent profitable trader? Basically there is no need to go elsewhere to look for information?

Your time will be better spent reading the best 5 or 10 trading books out there.

With the exception of the absolute basics which are frankly common sense there is absolutely nothing of value here. Reading forums (and not just T2W) is possibly the most damaging thing you can do as a new trader

Forums are useful for things like product reviews, trading industry news and for asking related questions, also for social networking with other traders.

But as for trading specifics, there maybe the odd nugget here and there but it is mainly noise, way too many delusional traders posting on forums.

I've learnt a lot from this forum since signing up as a complete noob. It's only damaging to people who are delusional and gullible in thinking they will get rich quickly and easily, in which case this forum ain't likely to persuade them either way. There are plenty of topics that show what trading is really like, point out scams and recommend things for other people etc. The only problem is being realistic about what you read.

It is a shame all the reall good topics end up closed or deleted, DT's recent PA topic for example.

I heard a so called expert trading various financial instruments tell his students keep far away from forums as they damage a traders mind there is too much negativity on forums and best left to someone who is already successful and knows the pros and cons in the real world to participate in forums?

I see today he has gone back and posted a response in a few of his older threads completely ignoring the comments that are given to his original post. The youtube videos he posts don't match the links he gives, etc...

Something is not right.

Maybe he is executing some form of preparation in relation to some future attempt to sell something....or....he is simply a knobhead:whistling
