We're not bloody yanks!!!

(I'm talking about daylight savings of course)

Get your act together. I have heard that Spain would prefer being on UK time. That would involve a 2 hour clock shift at the end of the month.

If you start messing with the clocks, now, you'll balls them all up over here. :)

Weirdly, over here there's a movement by some of the dafter daily mail readers to move us to spanish time!

You have to strike a happy medium. When I was at sea we used to keep the sun's high point as near 1200 as possible. I remember, once, when I was the navigator, we had come from Suez Canal, bound for Antwerp, which was on GMT+1, I think. When we got to Spain I, unilaterally , decided not to touch the clocks while going around the Iberian Penisular. Bad decision. The Old Man gave me a Royal bollicking!

When you are on a moving ship the difference is very apparent from one day to the next. When the Scottish factor is thrown in, it being north, as well, copying anything Europe does makes a drastic change.

Tail wagging the dog springs to mind... Decision based on the head or the rear?

Bet you the rear end will always win. It is like selling a concept not on features and benefits but the risks involved should one choose not to. Risk and fear of doing something outweighs and potential advantages.

This topic is discussed every bleeding year. So what has become the tipping point for it to be put to the vote? Certainly not the opinions expressed on the LBC radio???

Perhaps we should move to Spain:clap:
But not at the village I holidayed in. The clock chimes twice on the hour and plus 5minutes ( so midnight has 24 "bongs!!!")
