Alerian Index - how can i trade this?

Looking to trade AMJ JPM ALERIAN INDEX. Initially told by iii they could but after opening the account the desk said they cant (its a US Fund) - great

Anyone know how I could get exposure to this security as a UK Retail Investor?

AMJ is very thin, only 82k traded so far today.
It does not look a decent trading instrument at all.
